Villas
Make your vacation experience more luxurious
If you are willing to spend the money on a Barbados vacation, the possibilities for accommodations are endless. Individuals who have more money set aside for a luxurious vacation may want to consider staying in a villa on the island.
Villas are great alternatives to standard accommodations like hotels and resorts for couples, families or groups. Many villas are located on the beach and offer a level of privacy and relaxation that may not be experienced at a large, busy resort. Villas do tend to be a fair bit more expensive than most other accommodations, ranging in price from $150 to over $1,500 per night, but vacationers get what they pay for.
A villa is an excellent choice of accommodation for an extended vacation. Rather than being cramped in a hotel room that offers little more than two double beds and a television set, vacationers can spread out in fully furnished luxury homes equipped with full kitchens, dining space and patios. Some higher-priced villas feature home theaters and home gyms. Most villas include private pools and jacuzzis. Villas that are located on waterfront property often include boats that can be used by visitors for cruising and fishing.
Aside from luxury and comfort, renting a villa offers vacationers added convenience. Instead of having to make a reservation three days in advance at a popular restaurant, visitors can barbecue on the back patio or plan their own meals. Some villas even include an on-site chef who will prepare your favorite meals! In some cases, villa owners will stock the cupboards and refrigerator with your favorite food items before you arrive to save you the trouble of grocery shopping.
Frequent travelers may want to consider buying a villa rather than renting one if they have the means to do so. Owning a vacation property at a popular tourist destination can be an excellent investment and is often more economical in the long run. Owning a property offers you the convenience of visiting Barbados whenever you like for as long as you like. Properties can also be rented out to help cover the mortgage costs and property taxes.
